Do you want to race a FISA/World Rowing calendar event? Have you ever been to Israel—or, do you want to go back?
The international-level boat racing component is just one part of the of the Maccabi experience; athletes will have the opportunity to connect with other Jewish athletes from all over the world, as well as experience the culture and sights of Israel before/after the rowing competition—similar to a "Birthright" trip.
Ideal athletes will have competitive sculling experience in the single and double (e.g., current or prior USRowing Jr, U23, or Sr. National Team, USRowing NSR finalist, USRowing Elite Nationals finalist, Canadian Henley Senior level event finalist, etc.), and are currently training either with their college/university, or in a competitive club environment.
Strong erg scores are desirable, but recent racing performances will be given greater weight when identifying the best candidates.
All Maccabi Games competitors must be Jewish; by descent or conversion.
